Thimphu Drubchen also popularly known as Thimphu Dromchoe is held in Tashichodzong before Thimphu Tshechu showcasing sacred mask dances dedicated the protective deity of Bhutan, Palden Lhamo.

Thimphu Tshechu is preceded by days and nights of prayers to invoke gods. Mask dances like Guru Tshengye (eight manifestation of Guru Rinpoche), Shaw shachi (Dance of stags) and many more are performed.

7 Nights & 8 Days Tour with Thimphu Tshechu 2021

Day 1: Arrival to Paro International airport

You will be greeted by your driver and guide outside the airport with Tashi Khadar which is our traditional way of receiving guest.

we will drive to Thimphu which is an hour drive. On the way visit iron bridge built by Thang Thong Gyalpo.

In the evening visit Tashichodzong if time permits otherwise it will be arranged next day.

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing

Visit National Memorial Chorten, monument to world peace and a good spot for photographers.

Traditional Paper making factory which is few minutes drive from Memorial chorten.

Simply Bhutan Museum, watching local dances, old artefacts and playing archery.

Buddha Drodenma, a gigantic statue overlooking Thimphu valley. It is 169 feet(52m) containing thousands of miniature buddhas encapsulted inside of its enlightened bronze chest.

Day 3: Thimphu Festival Tour with hike to Tango Monastery

Today we will visit Thimphu Tshechu which is held at Tashichodzong and you can try wearing our colorful costume, Gho for men and Kira for women.

we will hike to Tango Monastery which is hour hike and then visit local homestay for dinner if interested.

Day 4: Drive to Punakha

Drive to Punakha today morning, visit 108 Druk Wangyel Chorten at Dochula Pass and then continue to Punakha.

Visit Punakha Dzong also known as the palace of bliss or great happiness which is arguably the most beautiful dzong in the country.

A short hike of 45 minutes to the fertility temple, also known as Chimi lhakhang.

Suspension bridge which is perhaps the longest suspension bridge in the country.

Day 5: Punakha to Paro

It is around 3 hours drive to reach Paro. Visit Paro Ringpung Dzong, which is the administrative office and also houses the monastic body.

Ta Dzong, which served as watch tower and now it is turned into national museum.

Kichu Lhakhang, it is one of the oldest temple built in the 7th century.

Day 6: Drive Haa valley via Chelela Pass

we will drive to Haa valley today. On the way we will stop at Chelela Pass, located at 3988 m above sea level.

Visit White temple also known as Lhakhang Karpo and Black temple or otherwise known as Lhakhang Nagpo.

Stroll Haa town for sometime and then return to Paro in the evening.

Day 7: Paro Tiger’s Nest

We will trek to Tiger’s Nest also known as Paro Taktsang. This amazing trek last around 5–6 hours and a relaxing Hotstone bath after the trek compliments it.

Day 8: Outbound journey

We will drop you at the airport and bid our farewell.
